If letters to the editor could talk

Here's an idea: get readers involved with video letters to the editor. Have students create video clips with YouTube or similar sites and then e-mail them to post on your newspaper and broadcast program's web site. The Sacramento (Calif.) Bee plans on implementing the practice within the next few weeks, according to an Al's Morning Meeting item.

Encourage creativity within boundaries, and you might have a great way to attract innovative students to your web site.
