Notice something different on the site today?
What you're seeing is the unveiling of our new
Poynter Career Center. It's a resource for advice on career management, short takes on lessons learned in various
jobs, services and resources to help you better prepare for seeking a
job -- and, most significantly, a help-wanted advertising section.
The main difference you'll notice in Poynter Online now is a new right rail
that will be devoted to the Career Center and attached to all pages. We hope you'll stop by and
post some jobs,
post your resume or just
kick the tires. We look forward to hearing what you think -- either by
sending an
e-mail to the Career Center's director,
Colleen Eddy, or by filling out a special survey we've set up
here.
We've been working on this project for some time now, and we believe
the Poynter Career Center will serve our mission at the same time it
helps our financial future. We've tried to anticipate and address some
of the questions you might have about this new service in
today's Poynter Online centerpiece by Poynter's president,
Karen Brown Dunlap, and in the FAQ we've posted
here.
