Village Voice Media executive editor Michael Lacey says he's looking for more original reporting in the Voice and less similar-sounding commentary. He tells Mark Jurkowitz: "I'm opposed to having four or five writers an issue saying 'Hey, me too. I don't like [Bush] either.'" Sydney Schanberg says he resigned because it was clear to him that Lacey didn't want a press column. "He said he didn’t want any stories that referred to other people’s work."
