Wilmington News Journal
Dover Post reporter
Matt Donegan was fired after editor
Don Flood checked out the young journalist's
blog. Flood tells
Al Mascitti he didn't like Donegan's joking reference to James Earl Ray in connection with Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and Donegan's disparaging references to people who sought coverage from the newspaper. "I can't have somebody discussing comments in the office about some of the stories we're going to cover, and reasons we may or may not cover them," he says.
