Susan Glasser was told on Monday night by executive editor Leonard Downie Jr. that she was being removed because of poor morale among her staff, reports David Stout. "Glasser returned from a vacation with her husband in Spain to be called into somber, closed-door meetings about possible new duties for her," he writes. "The options available to her will reportedly not include positions in the newsroom." Rajiv Chandrasekaran is expected to take over for her, at least temporarily.
