Mark Schwed, 52, who was found dead in his apartment Thursday, "wrote smart stories and endeared himself to those who worked with him and, often, to those he wrote about," says Palm Beach Post managing editor Bill Rose. Before joining the Post four years ago, Schwed spent 11 years at TV Guide, while also working on-air on E! and the TV Guide Channel. Before that, he was the TV critic at the Los Angeles Herald-Examiner.
