Seattle: What's your take on Sunday's Doonesbury? How much of that is responsible for the coverage we're seeing of the horse-race aspect, to the exclusion of the policy aspect? Howard Kurtz: It's a pretty funny take on MSM reporters blogging (which I wrote about a couple of weeks ago, observing that the campaigns take these blogs very seriously and respond in real time). But I don't think blogs can be blamed for the horse-race addiction that has been a staple of political coverage for decades now.
