Albuquerque Tribune
Two weeks after Scripps announced the Albuquerque Tribune will close if a "qualified buyer" isn't found, Trib alums are still posting memories of their days at the paper. A few:
* Gilbert Gallegos: "Whenever someone asks me how I handle the stress and impossible expectations that go along with working for Governor Richardson, I tell them I used to work at the Trib. They don't understand it. But all Tribunistas know what I mean."
* Doug Brown: "The Trib was my first non-jaw-droppingly-dull job. It was thrilling, and it was thrilling because of the people."
* Hank Stuever: Nobody worked harder, under a variety of business plans and 'journalistic overhauls' than anybody ever or currently employed by The Trib. ...As a story suggestion, now that anything goes, I really want to read the full story of the Albuquerque JOA. Less of an obit and more of a murder investigation."
