Katie Couric rejects critic
Ellen Gray's suggestion that the "CBS Evening News" has changed considerably and become more streamlined in recent months. "I think it was always streamlined, and I think it's a little more traditional now in that there are probably fewer live interviews," says Couric. "But it was always, I think, a pretty serious and hard-hitting newscast. ...I disagree with people who sort of say it was too feature-y, because I don't really think that was the case."
