Rupert Murdoch. He envisions converting the Wall Street Journal's Saturday Pursuits section into a glossy weekend magazine to compete with the New York Times Sunday Magazine. Also, he wouldn't mind tighter writing. "I'm sometimes frustrated by the long stories," he says. Murdoch tells
Richard Siklos and
Andrew Ross Sorkin that he won't meddle in the journalism or gut the newsroom. "We're not coming in with a bunch of cost-cutters," but "I'm not saying it's going to be a holiday camp for everybody."
