Media industry analyst Edward Atorino says the Times Co. is unlikely to sell the Globe, particularly with New England business conditions showing signs of improvement. But Boston University journalism department chair Lou Ureneck says the Times Co. might indeed sell the paper. His thinking: Cash from the sale could help take Times Co. private, ridding the Sulzbergers and the New York Times from the pressures of meeting Wall Street expectations.
