Andrew Rosenthal, who replaces Gail Collins as New York Times editorial page editor in January, says the page faces several challenges, including accommodating itself to a smaller page as the paper shrinks its physical size in August 2007. "We’re trying to figure out a way to do all the things we’re doing now but in less space." He says he's "determined not to reduce the length of the columns" by the Op-Ed writers.
