Eric Boehlert says unless there's a dramatic, late-September surge in coverage, the Big Three nightly newscasts will end the month having devoted a total of 40 minutes to Iraq, or less than 15% of their airtime. He uses Nexis to count the number of A1 Iraq-related stories published between September 1 and September 21. His findings: Boston Globe, 0; Charlotte Observer, 3; Hartford Courant, 0; Houston Chronicle, 0; Miami Herald, 6; New York Times, 12; San Diego Union-Tribune, 0; and Seattle Times, 1.
