Mary Beth Carroll says it's been hard up until now for her daughter to talk about her ordeal, even with her family. "Doing the articles has been a cathartic experience for her,'' says the mom. "And I know she hopes to do some good for the Christian Science Monitor, which is a nonprofit organization and used a tremendous amount of resources during the three months Jill was in captivity trying to get her back here.
