Why Is It Still Called "Presstime"?

Reading an article today on MediaPost about an inappropriate online ad placement, I was struck by the last sentence: "The New York Post did not return telephone calls for this article by presstime."

What do we call it when there's no "press" any more?

And what do we say when online publication allows any-time updates?

Sure, online reporting has deadlines, just like print. But still, a different phrase is in order. Any suggestions?
