This is my New Year's tradition. Every year I write a blog item reminding everyone to check the footer on their sites and blogs, and change the date if necessary. It's 2008. Get that
© 2007 off your site!
Of course, many systems have simple scripts that change the year automatically. But it's surprising how many systems still require that you make this change manually. I use Wordpress for my personal blog, and I had to change the year manually in my theme template.
So get with the times! It's 2008, already. (Happy New Year.)
