Earlier I mentioned the
new round of Webby award winners. One nominee that intrigued me, under the "Best Copy/Writing" category, is a marketing site from the
New York Times:
These Times Demand the Times. It didn't win, but it's worth a look.
This site builds off a TV ad that demonstrates the value of NYT content and services. The value proposition: "It's about the journalism. Period. End of story."
Take some time to explore that site and see how it's not just marketing puffery -- it actually draws visitors into NYT content.
We live in an era when, like it or not, even the most established news organizations must continually prove their value to their communities.
