In the "old days" of the Web, when you liked a site well enough you would bookmark it in your Web browser.

Today is a quite different, since there are many ways to stay connected with a favorite or useful site -- as you can see on the sidebars of many web logs.

However, in general Latin American newspapers sites are not capitalizing on these new options for staying connected with readers.

One notable exception -- and good example -- is El Comercio from Peru. At the bottom of each of its news stories is a bar containing several icons and links-ready-to-use for different services, such as del.icio.us, Technorati and Furl. This offers readers easy ways for to save and share El Comercio stories.
