Starting today, we are going to test drive some changes to Al's Morning Meeting that we hope will:
- Allow us to constantly update the column no matter what time of day.
- Make it much easier for you to search the column.
So many of you, throughout the years, have asked me to tell you when I've written about a particular topic because you didn't want to have to search an entire page for a specific item. In the future, you will be able to search by topic and get every item I have listed under that topic.
The new design will not replace the morning e-mail that will still hit your inbox about 7 a.m. every day, but we hope you will check back often or check our RSS feed throughout the day. Of course, if you have any comments or questions about the changes, we want to hear about them.
Just drop me a note.
I think this new format will be especially useful on days when breaking news stories unfold. It doesn't do you as much good if I send you background information or story ideas that you don't get until the next morning. You'll get information faster and more efficiently with this new format.
