Unique visitors is a measure of the number of Web users who visit a site during a specified period, such as a day, week or month.

The number of unique visitors provides an estimate of the site's total audience and is often used as a way to rank Web sites by reach. Other measurements, such as page views, focus on the amount of traffic for a particular feature of the site and can include multiple views by the same user.
